JOB TITLE: DIRECTOR OF SUPPORTIVE HOUSING
DIVISION: HOUSING & SERVICES
REPORTS TO: ASST. VICE PRESIDENT OF WESTCHESTER HOUSING PROGRAMS
SUMMARY: Under supervision of the AVP, the Director of Supportive Housing is responsible for leading the design, planning, implementation, and evaluation of Westhab’s permanent and transitional supportive housing program portfolio, which includes both scattered-site and single-site programs. The Director supervises service coordinators and oversees the coordination and delivery of services provided by Westhab supportive services staff, as well as external clinical staff and community partners. The Director of SH ensures that program participants receive services in the most efficient and respectful manner in accordance with best practices.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Masters in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required. Minimum of 3-5 years of management and supervisory experience in homeless/supportive housing services with an emphasis on mental health. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Strong organization, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. The ideal candidate will have a results-driven style, personal accountability and the ability to identify and implement creative approaches to breaking the barriers facing Westhab’s SH residents.
