JOB TITLE: Facility Manager
DIVISON: Services - Facilities
REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities
LOCATION: Manhattan, NY
SUMMARY: The Facility Manager is responsible for all facility related operations including the administrative and technical aspects of the maintenance and custodial departments for a 140 bed men’s homeless shelter. This role will also ensure proper purchasing and inventory control procedures for the entire facility.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor or Associates degree preferred, High School Diploma required and 5-8 years of progressive experience in Facility Management and/or Building Maintenance required. Candidates should have supervisory experience and experience managing work-crews. The ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple tasks and work unsupervised. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as some computer skills. Candidates must be flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed.
