JOB TITLE:         FACILITY SUPERVISOR             

DEPARTMENT:      HOUSING

LOCATION:         YONKERS, NY

REPORT TO:         FACILITY MANAGER

SALARY:               $50,000 to $60,000 per year

 

SUMMARY

Hands on position responsible for the quality of maintenance services provided for the scattered site properties.  Supervise turnover staff and mechanics, maintain furniture inventory, and handle liaison with landlords.  Reports to Facility Manger. Proof of COVID vaccinations required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the coordination of turnovers and repairs in transitional housing program
  • Oversee performance of scattered site mechanics and turnover crew and fill in as needed
  • Perform HQS and other inspections and document condition of scattered site units; follow up to confirm work was performed
  • Ensure the quality of repairs for the scattered site properties and review outstanding work orders
  • Ensure timely completion, quality control, and documentation of turnover units
  • Prepare and submit daily field reports, HQS inspection reports, and turnover reports
  • Responsible for logging daily work orders
  • Attend and participate in scattered site team meetings
  • Prepare the annual staff evaluations
  • Communicate with tenants/landlords and staff regarding status of repairs and property condition
  • Document tenant damage to apartments
  • Ensure the health/safety of tenants/clients in scattered site units
  • Respond to emergencies and participate with on-call rotation
  • Provide support to Assistant Facility Manager and fill in during his absence
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment and repair
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED and minimum of three years of facilities maintenance experience; at least two years supervisory experience, knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance.  Must have a unique understanding of the problems inherent with low income/emergency housing.  Good verbal and written communication skills required.  Must have clean driver’s license and vehicle.
